In an unprecedented gesture demonstrating his firm commitment to the reputation, serenity, and discipline of OMSAC, President Mr. Mourad Mazar immediately took decisive measures upon his arrival in Cairo, the Egyptian capital.
From the first day, Mr. Mazar orchestrated an emergency meeting lasting over 10 hours with his close collaborators and representatives from the Middle East and North Africa. This intensive session laid the groundwork for his strategy to restore order within OMSAC in the region.
The second day was entirely devoted to meetings with representatives from various institutions and NGOs in the Middle East and North Africa. This underscores the president's determination to understand local dynamics and establish fruitful collaborations.
The morning of the third day featured an emergency video conference between the OMSAC president and the executive board members. The conclusions from the first two days were meticulously discussed, highlighting shortcomings and serious faults within the Middle East and North Africa region.
Confronted with unacceptable practices such as the misuse of OMSAC's image for personal gain, influence trafficking, document falsification, and identity usurpation, President Mazar, with the approval of the executive board, decided to dissolve OMSAC's representation in the Middle East and North Africa.
All those responsible for this catastrophic situation were permanently excluded. The files of all members were forwarded to the legal department for legal proceedings, with formal communication to the authorities of their respective countries.
The OMSAC executive board and its president wish to inform authorities, governmental organizations, and NGOs worldwide that any correspondence on behalf of OMSAC must bear the official signature of the president or those of the delegated members, as indicated on the official OMSAC website. Signatories, equipped with delegation, will be displayed with their names, titles within OMSAC, and photos to ensure the value and credibility of the signatures.
In the coming days, additional details about this matter will be made public. Given the urgency related to the 2024 roadmap for the Middle East & North Africa Zone, emergency decisions will be made in the coming hours, demonstrating OMSAC's resolute commitment to transparency, legitimacy, and effectiveness in the fight against corruption and crime.
